The real world, and the Matrix world

“The two greatest obstacles to democracy in the United States are, first, the widespread delusion among the poor that we have a democracy, and second, the chronic terror among the rich, lest we get it.”
– Edward Dowling, 1941

In 2000, my article Escaping the Matrix was published in several print magazines, and it was the first of my articles to go viral on the net. I’ve learned a lot since, but that article still serves as a ‘red pill’ awakener from the trance of the mainstream matrix. Hundreds of readers have written to me over the years, thanking me for opening their eyes. The article is also available in Spanish, and as a dramatically interpreted audio recording.

Perhaps the single most important thing to realize about the real world, is that for the past 6,000 years our societies have been organized hierarchically. And always some elite clique has been at the top of the hierarchy – even in nations that call themselves ‘democracies’. In The Story of Hierarchy, I examine the history and nature of hierarchy, reaching the conclusion, “In an age of technology, the inevitable outcome of the hierarchical social model is a tyrannical world government, of one flavor or another. It was always just a matter of time, as was the end of growth.”

In 2010, another article of my articles went viral, Prognosis 2012 – The Elite Plan for a New World Social Order. The article tells the story of the rise of industrial-age capitalism, and the transformation in geopolitical dynamics that accompanied that rise. The article explains how two-centuries of capital accumulation has served as a vehicle to bring financial elites to the pinnacle of power, and how capitalism is now being abandoned by those same elites. They have been preparing for the end of growth since at least 1972, when the Rockefeller-sponsored Club of Rome published The Limits to Growth.

In 2013, I published another widely distributed article, The endgame has begun. This article tells the story of the past two centuries from a different perspective. It tells the story of elite machinations, of how wars, revolutions, and financial manipulations have been orchestrated so as to bring the world step-by-step closer to centralized management, and how these dramatic events have also served to enable experimentation with radical forms of social control (Nazism and Stalinism).

I’ve published many other analysis pieces, each with a different slant on things, and those can be accessed via the home page, where it says ‘My articles published on other websites’. You may also want to consider my recommended books. My own attention these days is focused on activism, seeking ways to involve people in creating change. But I do follow unfolding events, and I post articles and comments on a daily basis to my facebook page.
