Bcc: contributors Friends, Below are some follow-up comments re/ our last posting... ...the one about the world's greatest state bully terrorist (the USA), insisting that it be exempted from the court which is being set up to deal with precisely such crimes. Have you noticed the growing congruence of Bush-administration policies and the policies of the Third Reich? Quantanamo serves as our symbolic first concentration camp. The Patriot Act echoes the concept of "Enemies of The Reich". Bush's "You are either for us or against us" lacks the charisma, but matches the sentiments of Hitler's waving arms and more coherent rhetoric. And like the Third Reich, we are everywhere on the defensive offensive. You do realize that the Sudenland was occupied only to rescue the suppressed German minority? And Poland invaded Germany first? Poor surrounded Germany. Poor terrorist-threatened USA. Instead of Jews as the unter-menschen, we have the Arabs. They are more foreign than domestic, but that matches the age of globalization. People don't need to be neighbors in order to hate one another... we have television to make everything closer.
