Definitely, Richard, definitely.  Every capitalist society reaches a point
in the falling rate of profit where slavery becomes an objective necessity.
If external imperialism is no easy option, internal colonies are developed.
Not much developing was required in this particular case; more like a simple
historical regression, for starters.

I was warning my catatonic friends about this over a decade ago.
An indelible brown paint job would have greatly advanced their understanding.
