This film, titled "NOWHERE TO HIDE", documents widespread bombing of civilian objects in Iraq, contrary to international law. John Alpert, 12-year veteran of NBC News and winner of 7 Emmy awards, assisted in making the film and was fired when he offered it to NBC. The footage was taken to CBS, where Evening News executive producer Tom Bettag agreed to run excerpts. Bettag was promptly fired. None of the major networks ran any of the tape despite the fact that they had no reporters in Iraq at the time. You can get copies of the tape in Canada from: COALITION TO STOP US AND CANADIAN INTERVENTION IN THE MIDDLE EAST 123 Edward Street Suite 600 Toronto, Ontario M5G 1E2 Phone 416-593-6601 Fax 416-597-1581 Donation: $35.00, plus 10% postage and handling, if required. ****************************************************************** ****************************************************************** - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Note 65 Video on Gulf War Protest •••@••.••• 10:55 pm Aug 30, 1990 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MOVEMENT TO END THE GULF WAR The Chicago video group, Labor Beat, has produced a 1/2 hour program entitled "Movement to End the Gulf War".
