The last I'd heard, the "Bible" on this subject was the
book "The Politics of Heroin in Southeast Asia", by McCoy.
I've never actually seen it. When I checked at the Library
of Congress (ca. 1988), it was in the catalog, but missing
from the collection.
Can anyone who has read this book comment on it ?
BTW before the holidays I found it available on-line at
Lawrence Hill, http://www.bookserve.com

I recall that Joe Ferguson was quite impressed with this book. Perhaps he
could offer some comments, or (re)send any review he might have on hand.
