Hi Richard,

Not to indulge in gratuitous praise, but all I can think of for
this piece is "Well SAID!" There have been a few times I have had
my well-founded opinions brushed off as "conspiracy theory" so I
know what you mean. We should probably savor those occurrences,
it probably means we're getting warm! As for preparing public
opinion for nuclear war, your "theories" seem more than plausible
to me. Stirring up awareness of and opposition to this is more than
a worthy cause, it's a civic duty!

I had happened upon the third of those SJ Mercury pieces and was
amazed, not at the story, but that I was reading it in the Mercury
News. This morning, after reading in your Norman Solomon attachment,
that I could access the whole series on the web, I fetched all three
parts and printed out hard copies to share with friends and family.

You asked for questions. Here's one:

Someday, people en masse must get the point, mustn't they?

I will mention a few incredible thngs that have happened:
About twenty years ago a norwegian conscription soldier was senteced to
jail because he revealed that NATO forced were training at dropping
Atom bombs on Norwegian towns, and Norway is a member of NATO.
The name of the brave soldier is Narve Tredal.
He was working with the military communications, and when he got documents
about these exercises he sent the documents to newspapers, and the newspapers
printed the documents.

The military high command said this should never happen again, but a few
years later another conscription soldier working with communications
again discovered documents documents proving NATO forces simulating dropping
atom bombs on Norwegian towns. He sent the documents to newspapers.
The documents got printed and the soldier had to go to jail for having
revealed military secrets!

The reason for this bombing was that strikes were going on in these towns
(Trondheim and Tromso).

I guess US forces are training dropping atom bombs on New York, Chicago
and Los Angeles too!?!

As Dave Emory points out, people obsessed with Coincidence Theory will go to
extreme lengths to dismiss "paranoid conspiracy nuts"...
