Friends,

Below are some follow-up comments re/ our last posting...
...the one about the world's greatest state bully
terrorist (the USA), insisting that it be exempted from
the court which is being set up to deal with precisely
such crimes.

Have you noticed the growing congruence of
Bush-administration policies and the policies of the
Third Reich? Quantanamo serves as our symbolic first
concentration camp. The Patriot Act echoes the concept
of "Enemies of The Reich". Bush's "You are either for
us or against us" lacks the charisma, but matches the
sentiments of Hitler's waving arms and more coherent
rhetoric.

And like the Third Reich, we are everywhere on the
defensive offensive. You do realize that the Sudenland
was occupied only to rescue the suppressed German
minority? And Poland invaded Germany first? Poor
surrounded Germany. Poor terrorist-threatened USA.
Instead of Jews as the unter-menschen, we have the
Arabs. They are more foreign than domestic, but that
matches the age of globalization. People don't need to
be neighbors in order to hate one another... we have
television to make everything closer. Progress.

You'll now find the real cover, by a brilliant Swedish
artist who lives in the woods where a noise in the
garden is likely to be a moose. Don't be upset if you
can't make sense of the images. What I like about them
is that they draw you in without offering any easy
answers. The quest begins with the cover...

See what our "peacekeepers" have already done.
DynCorp, one of the largest gov contractors, is headed
by Herbert Winoker who is also on the board of
directors of Enron, and the board of directors Harvard
Management. The Bush admin can't let these guys go to
prison, at least not a real prison.

Aug. 6, 2002 | Two former employees of DynCorp, the
government contracting powerhouse, have won legal
victories after charging that the $2 billion-a-year
firm fired them when they complained that co-workers
were involved in a Bosnia sex-slave trade....Ben
Johnston claims that buying prostitutes -- many of whom
were clearly underage -- had become so common among
DynCorp employees at Camp Comanche, outside Tuzla,
Bosnia, that he was forced to report the problem to the
U.S. Army's Criminal Investigative Command.

DynCorp Still Taking the Moral Low Ground
Sometimes it seems there's little left to do except
scratch your head in bewilderment. For Insight, this is
  one of those times.
