A few interesting items below, including some excellent and
topical video clips.

I'll be visiting Jim Macgregor, who lives near Edinburgh, the
week of 15 August. If any of you live near enough to there,
and are interested, we could arrange a get together. Let me

I'm still working on Part 2 of "Britain & America: the
evolution of a partnership." I continue to find the Engdahl
material immensely clarifying. In particular, the war in Iraq,
with Britain as the only significant ally, continues a
tradition that goes way back...and understanding the reasons
then makes the meaning of today's events rather transparent.

Dear Richard,
Just wanted to write to thank you for all you do.
It is greatly appreciated. Wanted you to know.

Thanks Diana. I'm honored by the loyalty of all you good
people out there, and grateful to those of you who regularly
send in articles of special interest that you come across. I
think we have a rather nice mutual-learning community here.

Besides the many articles and essays that are available, InI
also has many other regular features including

The Newslinks Pages which now contain something like 1,000,000
links to external material covering a lot of topics.

In addition, there's the excellent URUK Iraq Newslinks which
contains perhaps the best cross-section of information on the
current situation in Iraq (daily).

The Weekly Spin, put out by the Center for Media and Democracy
which has stuff on 'PR' and other forms of mis/disinformation.

The Information Clearing House. Incidentally, aside from ICH,
InI contains perhaps the most comprehensive archive of almost
everything ICH has published since its inception in 2003, all
of it available in handy, biodegradable, zipped packages.

GI Special, a daily roundup of news on the situation in Iraq
with the focus on US troops.

Truthout, another daily compendium of news pieces that are I
think of particular interest.
