Dear cj, The recent website-upgrade is just the beginning -- my intention is to upgrade the site, steadily over time, into a valuable source of information for current events and analysis, and a resource center for counter-globalization activism. In particular, it will have a comprehensive and well-organized list of outgoing links to other useful sites. Any link recommenations would be welcome. There'll be a directory-page which lists topics, then for each topic there'll be a compact list of sites (similar to the Serbia site-listings at the end of this post). regards, rkm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Carolyn Ballard" <•••@••.•••> To: <•••@••.•••> Subject: Re: cj#912> Serbia; new website Date: Tue, 30 Mar 1999 09:47:17 -0500 Dearest Richard - Somewhere in your queue of mail you will find one from me alerting you to the fact that the parody was, in fact, written by Louis Proyect and posted to one of the Marxism lists. Ed's forward of the article failed to include the author's name, which I clarified with him the following day. Please advise your CJ readers so that Louis gets authorship credit (and well-deserved praise, imo !). Yours, Carolyn ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: •••@••.••• (Adrian Powell) To: •••@••.••• Date: Tue, 30 Mar 1999 12:58:23 -0400 Subject: Re: cj#912> Serbia; new website many interesting articles, thanks. Is in necessary to launch a new browser window for each new selection (it does get irritating, especially after a few links)? Thanks. -------- Dear Adrian, Sorry, I overdid it on new windows. I'll eliminate most of that. thanks for browsing, rkm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Julie Guenette" <•••@••.•••> To: <•••@••.•••> Subject: Serbia RKM, site is great, quite enjoyed the Japan-US satire, helps to bring it down to what it is. I'm in Canada here, and its quite strange to hear the constant justifications for the actions of NATO, under USA. Put simply, I throw a thesis saying that its pure and utter terrorism and abuse of power, and people (undergraduate students) look back at me as if I was an alien, and basically argue that its not terrorism since USA is a legitimate country. What am I suppose to answer to such a fallcious reasoning? Anyway, this is meant as a simple thank you, it helps to know that not all people are on the side of the strong, powerfull, and quite imperialist 'unbalanced superpower'.
