Friends, My book tour has now been rescheduled for closer to Spring. This will give us time for certain preparations. For example, getting reviews in newspapers and magazines. And we are designing a second edition, more suitable for the retail market. When I say 'we', I am including Chris Thorman and Carolyn Deacy, two singing buddies of mine from California. Carolyn will be doing the book design and Chris the copy-editing and typography. They are both very experienced at those tasks. We're thinking in terms of a smaller format, A6 = (10.5 x 14.8 cm) = (4 1/8 x 5 7/8 in.). This would give us a more reasonable thickness, better binding, etc. Also it would be suitable for an 'impulse buy' location in a book store. Now here's where we have a question: would it be a good idea or a bad idea to combine the Zen book along with "Escaping the Matrix". The front and back of the book would both be 'front covers', one upside down from the other. The 'pro' argument is that the ideas in the two pieces are very complementary, and additional thickness makes for a more 'real' book. The 'anti' argument is that the Zen material might be better left on its own. If you have an opinion either way, I'd be interested. all the best, rkm alias nasrudin.
