I commend to your attention this informative and entertaining video. It’s long, but if you find it as intriguing as I did, you’d wish it was longer. Yanis is the star, which means a lot, given that Noam was on the podium with him. The most informative part, from my perspective, was what Yanis had to say about the EU – why it was formed, what the special roles of France and Germany were to be, and what the top EU leaders are thinking today, off the record. Yanis is definitely a mensch – one of us – but he also has private conversations with top leaders, and what he reveals is worth knowing. Toward the end Noam does get in some good licks, particularly his insightful comments about the Bernie Sanders phenomenon.
Hope all is well with you folks. I’ve kind of given up on political stuff. One windmill too many. If there’s something you’d like to talk about, let me know. No sense letting this channel of conversation go to waste.
